Zemtu develops a web-based vehicle sharing platform and provides support and consulting. We foster close relationships with our partners who are European but also international car sharing providers.

In 2020, Zemtu had more than 20 partners with more than 1,000 vehicles connected to its platform and more than 25,000 car sharing users served. And the cooperative CARUSO - where it all started - is available across Austria and the neighboring countries Germany and Switzerland these days and of course is powered by the Zemtu carsharing software. More than 10 years of close collaboration is a great testimony.

The founders

Dominik Bartenstein, Philipp Metzler, Roland Kainbacher and Christian Steger-Vonmetz knew each other for a long time and paths crossed every once in a while. Common interests in green technology, electric mobility, software development and sustainable environmental issues brought us together. In the year 2009 carsharing became our main focus and we started to establish the car sharing service "CARUSO Carsharing" in the western part of Austria at the Lake Constance.

In 2015 Dominik, Philipp and Roland founded the company Zemtu which is focusing on software development for vehicle sharing. Zemtu ("zämmô tu") is a dialect word and means "doing things together". We are very proud that our company is 100% owned by us and driven by the needs of our partners.

And we enable our partners to implement their custom additions by providing APIs for almost everything. The Open Source community powers our development and we actively contribute.
